How to use

Garden Valley Natural & Organic Potting Soil (Certified for Organic Use) can easily be used as a natural & organic alternative for general potting and patio gardening in planting boxes and containers.

  • Select a clean container with drain holes in the bottom. Make sure container is large enough to hold 2-3 inches of potting soil around the root system. Cover bottom of container with clean pebbles, being careful not to plug drain area.
  • To remove plant from old container, moisten soil, then turn container over and tap bottom. Be careful to secure the plant by holding the stem between two fingers.
  • Partially fill the bottom of container with new potting soil. Loosen some of the compacted soil around the root system and place in center of container with root mass approximately 1/2” from the container top.
  • Add new potting soil around root mass and gently press soil in place. Add soil until level reaches top of root mass. Water plant thoroughly and allow to drain. Be careful not to over water your plants. Always follow the water, fertilizer, and light requirements of your individual plants.
