Pay: $28.00 -$38.00/hour D.O.E.

  • OT on Average 10hr/wk

Description:
Rexius’ Lake Oswego location is seeking a reliable, hard-working individual to join our team as a Blower Truck Driver. This role involves driving and positioning the blower truck to properly disperse material at job sites, while also assisting the crew during material placement and site cleanup.

Essential Duties

Driver:

  • Load and unload material in and out of truck
  • Operate loaders/tractors to fill truck with product
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of truck (DVIR) prior to making customer deliveries
  • Report any issues with the truck to mechanic or manager immediately for quick repair
  • Drive truck to job site
  • Follow instructions from Project Lead
  • Unload/Load Hoses
  • Assist operator with hose management
  • Assist with site preparation/clean up 

Operator:

  • Walk the job with customer and project lead prior to starting work to confirm project scope, identify site conditions, clarify expectations, address potential risks or constraints, and ensure alignment on access, safety requirements, and sequencing before work begins.
  • Maintain blower equipment making sure radio battery is fully charged, all debris is clear of the hoses, hoses are in good condition for next job and clean belt
  • Pull the hose from the truck (as needed) and ensure proper setup of hoses on job site
  • Blow material at the desired depth in the desired area as outlined by Project Lead
  • Ensure that the site is properly set up, and crew members have been informed of potential hazards and/or issues that could arise

Safety:

  • Follow all OSHA regulations that pertain to job
  • Report any work hazards to your lead, supervisor, or manager immediately
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed for the activities that will be assigned to you.
  • Participate in all safety protocols and procedures training that are relevant to your position.
  • Report and document all work related job injuries and accidents on Rexius provided form.  
  • Attend and participate in annual safety training.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Special Requirements/Certifications/Licenses:

  • CDL and all required CDL Certifications (CDL B or CDL A)

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Hand-eye coordination and hand, arm, and finger mobility for detailed work with objects.
  • Active movement throughout the day: sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc. (not a sedentary position).
  • Vision: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Hearing: able to satisfactorily communicate with customers, owners, and other staff members to ensure that verbal communication is clearly understood, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or operate equipment.
  • Exposure to uneven terrain
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to hectic, fast-paced, high anxiety environments.
