Make sure that plants in protected and sheltered areas receive water during the winter.

Lightly prune your trees and shrubs to use cuttings for inside and outside holiday decorations. Conifer trees, broadleaf evergreens, berries, cones, interesting seedpods, red barked and twigged shrubs all work well.
