PRIVACY STATEMENT

SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

The Rexius App is an internal mobile application operated by Rexius Forest By-Products (“Rexius”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) for use by authorized employees only. As part of providing and operating the Rexius App, we collect personal information and technical information necessary to support employee workflows, business operations, job tracking, logistics, and internal reporting.

When you use the Rexius App, we may collect personal information you provide to us such as your name, phone number, employee ID, username, and password.

When you use the Rexius App, we may also automatically receive certain technical information including your device identifier, internet protocol (IP) address, operating system information, device information, usage information, and crash diagnostics in order to help us support, secure, and improve the App.

The Rexius App may also collect location information while the App is in use and, if enabled, in the background. Location collection frequency may vary depending on application configuration and operational need. This information may be used for employee activity tracking, job and delivery tracking, and operational analytics.

The App may store data locally on the device when network connectivity is unavailable. Locally stored data may be transmitted automatically to Rexius internal systems once connectivity is restored.

The App may also collect work-related data entries and uploaded files, including documents such as PDFs, as part of normal business operations.

SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

By using the Rexius App as an authorized employee, logging into the App, and providing information through it, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your information for the specific business and operational purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

If we ask for your information for a secondary reason, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no, where applicable.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt in, you change your mind, you may discontinue use of the App by logging out and ceasing use of the application. Because the Rexius App is an internal employee business tool, certain collection, use, and disclosure of information may be necessary for employment-related and operational purposes while the App is in use.

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service, internal company policies, or other applicable policies governing use of the Rexius App and company systems.

SECTION 4 - INTERNAL SYSTEMS AND DATA STORAGE

The Rexius App connects to and transmits data to Rexius internal servers and systems, including internally hosted application infrastructure. Data submitted through the App is stored on internal systems and may also be temporarily stored on the mobile device when offline functionality is required.

Data transmitted through the App is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, and data stored at rest is protected using encryption and other reasonable security measures.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

The Rexius App may use third-party services such as Google Maps, Firebase, and DocuSign in connection with mapping, diagnostics, messaging, and document workflows. These providers may have their own privacy policies in respect of the information required for those services.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the way your personal information will be handled by those providers.

Once you leave the Rexius App or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

SECTION 6 - SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry’s best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

Information transmitted through the Rexius App is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) / HTTPS and stored using encryption at rest and other generally accepted security standards. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we implement reasonable safeguards designed to protect the information collected through the App.

SECTION 7 - DEVICE STORAGE, PERMISSIONS, AND NOTIFICATIONS

The Rexius App may use local device storage and application permissions to function properly.

These permissions may include:

Location access (foreground and background), camera access, and notifications.

These permissions are used to support business-related application features, including employee tracking, job activity, operational updates, and other internal workflows.

SECTION 8 - AGE OF CONSENT

The Rexius App is intended only for authorized Rexius employees and is not intended for use by children.

SECTION 9 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website or within the App. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify users here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If Rexius or its business is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that the App and related services may continue to operate.
